| In Three Card Poker the player is betting against the dealer, the value of his own cards or both. The game begins by each player making a wager. There are two types of wagers in Three Card Poker, the Ante wager and the Pair Plus wager. An Ante is the main bet placed on a hand. A Pair Plus is a bet that the player will have at least a pair or higher.
The game begins with each player making his wager and the deal of three cards face down. After looking at his cards, the player can choose to continue to play against the dealer or fold. If a player folds, he loses his wager. If he chooses to play against the dealer another wager must be bet equal to the ante in the play spot on the table. Should the player's hand beat the dealers qualifying hand (Queen or better) he is the winner and receives both the Ante and the Play wager payouts. Should the dealer not qualify only the Ante wager will be paid.
